The Duke in My Bed
I’ve found with some historical romance there are times were the story can feel like it’s scattered about the chosen time period. The writer can spend too much time overdoing the details of the period rather than the story itself. This was not the case with The Duke in my Bed. With the historical facts a hint on the horizon the amazing story behind this work of fiction takes center stage and comes to life.
I loved the characters from start to finish. Louisa and Brays story is one that leaves you waiting for that moment when they finally come together. Bray is the Duke of Drakestone who, after a deadly turn of events agrees to marry his dying friend’s sister, Louisa, before the man passes away. Louisa is strong, caring, and has only her sister’s well being on her mind. Bray is far from being ready to marry anyone and he does whatever he can to prolong and prevent having to the terms of marring Louisa.
This book captures your attention and at moments has you catching your breath. However, it’s not what the Duke does to keep from marrying her, but rather what he does to get her to marry him that will take you by surprise.
From bestselling author Amelia Grey comes The Duke in My Bed, a wickedly romantic tale of one reckless bachelor, five unwed sisters, and a wildly unconventional game of love…
